The Miss Rodeo Austin Scholarship Contest is open to young ladies ages 15-22 who reside within tthe state of Texas. Selection of the queen and princess is decided by judges and is based on Horsemanship, Personality and Appearance. Lauren Graham, Miss Rodeo Austin, was awarded a $10,000 scholarship, and Rathmell, Miss Rodeo Austin Princess, received a $5,000 scholarship following her reign. The Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo also pays $300 towards Miss Rodeo Austin's registration fees for competition in the Miss Rodeo Texas Pagent.
